Independent local news — courts, county government, public records

Problem: Rural county government, a heavily loaded circuit court, and public-records disputes go largely uncovered, so decisions that shape a county reach almost none of the people they affect.
Audience: Residents, officials, and public bodies in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin — plus anyone tracking Wisconsin open-records practice.

Problem: Independent hotels price on intuition and shop competitors by hand, leaving revenue on the table when nearby properties sell out and demand stays unmet.

The Sports Judge

Independent sports media — revived (orig. 2008–2014)

Problem: Early web sports commentary lacked an open contributor platform where emerging writers could publish, build an audience, and get noticed.
Audience: Sports readers across the major leagues, college sports, and combat sports — plus emerging writers.
Role: Founder. The revival of his original venture The Sports Jury, rebuilt from the Internet Archive and relaunched as The Sports Judge.
